Tasks for WIndows 8 and Windows Phone

Tasks was created with the purpose to use our components in an app, to face the problems of our customers (the developers) and to apply that knowledge in our product and services. I came up with the idea of creating Tasks, because it is fairly complex, also very typical - many scenarios, close to the developers every day work, are covered.

First we started with the Windows Phone app. We had light and dark theme to switch between when the user changes the phone main theme.
We made an advertising web site.
When Windows 8 came along we added Windows 8 app (with all the interaction flaws that came from back then, all hidden controls, lack of information density, unknown gestures).
We even started to develop Tasks with NativeScript. The app had to be stripped down to more simpler implementation.

Tasks started as a Windows Phone app, but expanded in a way I had the chance to work on many different platforms and explore new technologies.

The biggest challenge was writing the case studies - they gave me the opportunity to look back and capture the entire process in retrospective.
